ABOUT SERENA SMITH
Serena Smith, a Buffalo native, began her lifelong journey of movement at 2 years old, igniting her passion for dance that evolved into a master’s degree in dance from SUNY Brockport.
Building on this foundation, she completed a rigorous 1000 hour Classical Pilates Method certification program from the Vineyard Pilates Center in Martha’s Vineyard, MA, which is affiliated with the Pilates Center in Boulder, Colorado, in 2005.
Inspired for people to experience more freedom in their bodies, she trained and certified in Yin Yoga and Thai Bodywork. These are ancient healing arts that open pathways for energy to flow through the body with assisted yogic stretching. She facilitates Reiki Tummo, a profound energy practice from the Padamacahaya International Institute for Inner Study in Indonesia.
For the last decade, Serena resided in Majestic Sedona, AZ, where she had the pleasure of training with renowned gong musician, Jens Zygar, for gong and tuning fork sound frequency therapies. Passionate about the transformative power of energy, frequencies and heart-centered intention, she is intrigued by the connection of mind, body, and spirit practices as a way to maintain a balanced lifestyle.
Serena loves incorporating all modalities of cultural healing arts to raise personal awareness of self-healing and transformation in order to create peace and a shareable wave within a community.
